Message So i am new to tt.net forum posting. (been reading here a while but never posted) So let me start by saying hello. I have had 7 300zs over the past 10 years and made it my pation. But this os not what i am here to talk about.

I just wanted to bring up an experience of mine and the OH so simple solution that people miss and end up ripping apart their interior just cause more problems and electrical issues than they could possibly dream of.

Fist off my problem started almost instantly after i bought my 7th Z 91TT. The headlights would only work on high beams the dash lights were not present, the auto climate control would not function properly and the lighting for my gauge pods were so dim at night that i could not see them. Which was not to much of an issue as my car never saw rain, and rarly night. just a daily driver to and from work.

First i tried to adjust the dash lights with the dimmer switch. Then i moved on to pulling apart my control pods in serch of faulty wireing. replaced my dash bulbs....the list goes on. Then on day i was driving along it was raining outside and i noticed water droplets on my driver side kick pannel. (knowing that it was a cloged t top drain, next chance i got i clened it out and pulled apart my kick pannel to check for water damage and boom it hit me) There is a little white box right near your fuse box that had been getting wet with the rain. This is know as the TIME CONROL UNIT. After a couple of hous of skimming throught the service manual i saw in the wiring diagrams that all the fuctions that i was having issues with are tied into that blased little box. 75$ from z1 and 3days of wating pop out the old and in with the new. check all my fuses to make sure they are still good to go. Took her out for a drive around the block and i have dash lights, intermitten wipers, fully function climate control and headlights that dont blind all of our fellow drivers out on the road.

Hope this helps anyothers that are dased and confused with these problems. And i beg your forgivness of the sloppyness of this rough tech write up. Best of luck and see you on the road.
